Busy times are always good times.   2013 is a great year.   Varzea da Gonçala is full of life.  We have Gustaf and Jade,

                                                                                                                                        - from Sweden and France, already here a month and a breath of fresh energy, doing great work in the vegetable garden.
Last week, our hens were moved  from mud to lush greenery, and their old pecking ground is now planted with potatoes.

And another breath of fresh air has been having Jenny and her 7-year-old son Onyx here, since the start of the year.  We will certainly miss them when they go back to England at the end of February, as will our Megan - they have become big friends.    Cue - pic.of Jenny....

And, for 2 weeks only, Millie and Andrew, with 3y-old Solamon,  a pleasure to have with us, and great help with our bees and gardening ideas. Here's Millie with her funky chilly-pepper-drying...

Weather perfect, settled after lots of good rain, April PDC full, happy atmosphere, garden filling up with snails - and vegetables too - trees, lots of trees.   Tudo bem at the Varzea . . . .
